Barbara Jane Askue was received into Glory on Wednesday, November 25, 2020. She was born on February 2, 1951 in Battle Creek, Michigan to Charles and Marjorie Hutchings. Barbara’s family was very important to her and she enjoyed spending time with each and every one of them. Barbara also loved going to church and hearing about Jesus. She was a homemaker and a member of the Cedar Grove Missionary Baptist Church in Cave City.
She was preceded in death by her parents; one son, Nicky Askue; four brothers, Ron, Don, Tom and Jim Hutchings; one sister, Carol Hutchings and one grandson, William Burns.
Survivors include her husband, William Askue of the home; four sons, Vester Burns Jr. (Dwona) of Strawberry, Ricky Burns (Lachelle) of Powhatan, Tommy Burns (Vicki) of Blytheville and Chuck Burns of Cave City; two daughters, Alisa Coles (Brian) of Cave City and Tracey Edgin (Kevin) of Batesville; daughter-in-law, Tracy Burns of Searcy; one sister, Sally Miller (Boyd) of Michigan; twenty grandchildren; numerous great grandchildren and a host of other relatives and friends.
Memorial services will be held Saturday, December 5, 2020 at 1:00 p.m. at the Cedar Grove Missionary Baptist Church in Cave City with Tommy Burns officiating. Arrangements by Qualls Funeral Home of Cave City.
