Bernard Lee Bone, 95, of Batesville died Monday, July 2, 2018 at his home. He was born April 17, 1923 at Mount Pleasant, Arkansas to Roy Monroe and Virgie Ethel Screws Bone. He was a retired office manager from International Shoe Factory in Batesville, a United States Army WWII Veteran, and attended First Free Will Baptist Church in Batesville.
He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife, Pauline Bone; one son, Michael Bone; and two sisters, Janice Rister and Earlene Crafton.
Survivors include two grandchildren, Scott Bone, and his wife Tina, and Malinda Bone both of Batesville; five great-grandchildren, Ashlee Bone, Kaylee Bone, Natalee Bone, Hunter Rife, and Dakota Rife; a daughter-in-law Cheryl Bone of Millington, Tennessee; and a host of other relatives and friends.
Funeral services will be Friday, July 6, 2018 at 10:00 a.m. at the Qualls Batesville Funeral Service Chapel with Bro. David Insell and Bro. Bobby Shepherd officiating. Burial will follow in the Reeves Cemetery located near Guion.
Visitation will be Thursday, July 5, 2018 from 5:00 until 7:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
Pallbearers will be David Boutwell, B.B. Johnson, Alan Vickery, Tim Crouch, Hunter Rife and Dakota Rife.
Honorary Pallbearer is Greg Vickery.
