Betty Lou Tanner, 85 of Locust Grove passed away on Friday, May 3, 2019 at Woodlawn Heights Nursing Home in Batesville. She was born in Casa, Arkansas on February 4, 1934. Betty had a variety of jobs at different times in her life, but her true work was as a homemaker and mother to her children. She was a member of the Banner Church of Christ and a true example of a wife, mother, grandmother and Christian.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Justin; two children, Bobbie Eugene and Tonya Louise; her parents,Usty and Ethel Hance; two brothers; two sisters; one grandson, Matthew Hall and a son-in-law, Kenny Brackett.
Survivors include four daughters, Helen Ritchie (Bill) of Bluffton, Kathy Hall (Vaughn) of Concord, Sandy Brackett and Debbie Kennedy (Larry) both of Almond; nine grandchildren, Mandi Roark, Alesia Harsson, Justin Brackett, Kelli White, , Robyn Pelto, Kara Queary, Grant Kennedy, Megan Davis, and Jake Kennedy; 21 great grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews and a host of other relatives and friends.
Funeral services will be Monday, May 6, 2019 at 10:00 a.m. at the Banner Church of Christ with Craig Wilson officiating. Graveside services and burial will follow at the Casa Cemetery in Casa, Arkansas at 3:30 p.m. with arrangements by Qualls Batesville Funeral Service of Batesville.
Visitation will be Sunday, May 5, 2019 from 3:00 until 5:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
Pallbearers will be Justin Brackett, Jake Kennedy, Greg White, Andy Harsson, Billy Queary, Jared Davis and Randy Pelto.
Honorary pallbearers are The Men of the Banner Church of Christ; David Tanner, Ronnie Hance, Charles Hance and Gary Rainey.
