Billy Gene Huff, 81, of Batesville passed away on Tuesday, September 6, 2022 in Batesville. He was born on June 9, 1941 in Batesville. He was the son of Bill and Myrtle Bales Huff. He was Regional Manager for Pepsi-Cola Bottling Company of Batesville for over 44 years. He was also a lifelong member of the Eastside Pentecostal Church of Batesville where he served as a Deacon and Sunday school teacher for over 60 years. He was honored to serve as a lay speaker in several churches locally and some that were far away. Billy was also a member of Gideon’s International and a past member of the Southside Kiwanis. He enjoyed working in his yard, as well as hunting, fishing, and spending time with his family where his love ran the deepest.
He was preceded in death by his parents; three brothers, Bearl, Robert and Albert Huff; and an infant sister.
Survivors include his wife of 61 years, Donna Huff of the home; two daughters, Donita Beard (Johnny) and Shelly Middleton (Tracy) both of Cave City; a son, Shannon Huff of Batesville. He is also survived by five grandchildren, Candice Herrin (Philip), Courtney Puentez (Thomas), Lucas Middleton, Andrew Middleton (Leah) and Gracie Huff; six great grandchildren, Brandon Herrin, Mackenzie Herrin, Callie Jo Puentez, Kip Puentez, Cooper Blevins and Lillian Blevins; several nieces and nephews; and a host of other relatives and friends.
Funeral services will be on Saturday, September 10, 2022 at 2:00 p.m. at the Qualls Batesville Funeral Service Chapel with Jack McCarroll and Chris Conger officiating. Burial will follow at the Roselawn Memorial Gardens in Batesville.
Visitation will be from 12:00 p.m. until service time at the funeral home.
Pallbearers will be Lucas Middleton, Andrew Middleton, Thomas Puentez, Philip Herrin, Bobby Tosh and Jeremy Leslie.
Honorary pallbearers are Walker Brown, Jerry Gibbs, Harry Wood, Wally Varner, Dwayne Stott, Allen Brown, Donald Turner, Daniel Turner, Kenny Tharp, Eddie Witt, Bill Luster, Charles Crowson, Larry Bynum and the caregivers of Kindred Hospice.
Arrangements are under the direction of Qualls Batesville Funeral Service.
