Bobby Dwane Harris, 79 of Southside died Sunday, October 18, 2020. He was born October 16, 1941 in Clarksville, Arkansas to Chester and Mamie (Pearson) Harris. On June 7, 1959 in Lilbourn, Missouri, he married Shirley Jordan. He was a member of the Southside Church of Christ, where he preached for thirty-four years before retiring in December 2014. He preached a total of fifty-five years.
Survivors include his wife of 61 years, Shirley Harris of the home; two sons, Randy Harris (Tammy) and Ted Harris both of Southside; one daughter, Kim Hardin (Gary) of Jamestown; four grandchildren, Brandon Harris (Jeanne) of Batesville, Brittney Harris of Southside, Bradley Hardin (Lydia) of Vilonia, Candace LaBrun (Jimmy) of Yukon, Oklahoma; nine great grandchildren, Mollee Harris, Jacob Morris, Sydney Morris and Genevieve Brosius of Batesville, Silas, Sophia and Remy Hardin of Vilonia and Sylvia and Vivian LaBrun of Yukon, Oklahoma; one brother, Gerald Harris (Becky) of Rogers; several nieces and nephews and a host of other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents; a grandson, Kyle Harris and a brother, Ernest Harris.
Funeral services will be Wednesday, October 21, 2020 at 2:00 p.m. at the Qualls Batesville Funeral Service Chapel with Dean Fugett and Bill Cline officiating. Burial will follow in the Egner Cemetery at Salado.
Visitation will be from 1:00 p.m. until service time at the funeral home.
Pallbearers will be Brandon Harris, Bradley Hardin, Dwayne Millikin, Johnny Knabe, Chip Philips and Jim Case.
