Carol Ann Herrin

Carol Ann Herrin, 85, of Batesville, Arkansas passed away Friday, September 29, 2023 at her home. She was born October 14, 1937 in Batesville, Arkansas to Carl and Hazel Ford. She was a beautician/cosmetologist and of the Missionary Baptist faith. Carol enjoyed photography, painting, reading the bible, her grandchildren, cooking, spending time with her family and listening to gospel music. She also enjoyed being a foster grandparent at the Westside Magnet School.

She is preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Harvey Joe Herrin; one son, Patrick Ford Herrin; and one sister, Francine Almond.

She is survived by her son, Daniel Herrin; daughters in law, Laneca Phillips, and Rose Reichert; three grandchildren, Zane Herrin (Whitley), Philip Herrin (Candice) and Rachael Green (Chris); nine great grandchildren, Brandon, MacKenzie, Madelyn, Elliot and Eleanor Herrin, and Tanner, Annabelle and Asher Hile and Lane Green; several nieces and nephews, and other relatives and friends.

Funeral services will be held on Thursday, October 5, 2023 at 10:00 a.m. at the Qualls Batesville Funeral Service Chapel with Matthew Chappell officiating. Burial will follow at the Oaklawn Cemetery in Batesville with arrangements by Qualls Batesville Funeral Service.

Visitation will be Wednesday, October 4, 2023 from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at the funeral home. 

Pallbearers will be Brandon Herrin, Michael Phillips, Jason Mead, George Crenshaw, Tommy Crenshaw and Phillip Hogue.

Honorary pallbearers are Wimp Cothren, Patrick Phillips, Donald Herrin, Glen Sanders and Tanner Hile.
