Charles Ray Taylor

Charles Ray Taylor, 83 of Cave City died Wednesday, November 18, 2020 at his home. He was born April 11, 1937 in Enville, Tennessee to James Ervin and Mary Reeda (Bishop) Taylor.  He attended Chester County High School in Henderson, Tennessee and was of the Baptist faith.  He retired from DuPont Chemical in Memphis, Tennessee.  Upon retirement, he moved to Cave City and enjoyed raising cattle, gardening and spending time with friends and family.  He enjoyed sports and watching Fox News.

He was preceded was death by his parents and one sister, Lori Millican.

Survivors include his wife of 54 years, Geraldine “Geri” Dickey Taylor of the home; two sons, Michael Wayne Taylor (Barbara) of Parker, Colorado and Keith Taylor (Melissa) of Poughkeepsie; two daughters, Tracey Lee (Rick) of Wasilla, Alaska and Stacey Davis (Marshal) of Brighton, Tennessee; seven grandchildren, Caitlin Pavlinek, Boone Taylor, Nathan Hodges, Ethan Taylor, Eli Taylor, Gavin Davis and Aubrey Davis; two great grandchildren, Jude Hodges and Westin Pavlinek and a host of other relatives and friends.

A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date. Arrangements by Qualls Funeral Home of Cave City.

Memorials may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 262 Danny Thomas Pl., Memphis, TN 38105 of the Humane Society of your choice.
