Charles Watson

Charles Watson, 79 of Evening Shade died Friday, April 3, 2020. He was born on April 19, 1940 in Jacksonville, Florida to Hoyt Watson and Irene Roberts Griffin.  He was a retired veteran of the U.S. Coast Guard and was a Christian.  He was a member of the First Free Will Baptist Church in Cave City.  Charles was a loving husband, father, grandfather, son and brother.  He enjoyed gospel music and had mastered multiple instruments throughout his lifetime.  He loved the Lord and his family with all his heart.

He was preceded in death by his father, Hoyt Watson; his mother, Irene Griffin and two sisters.

Survivors include his loving wife of 63 years, Mary Watson of the home; five sons, Dewayne Watson and wife Diana of the Dominican Republic, Thomas Watson, Reginald Watson and wife Theresa, Randall Watson and Ronald Watson all of Mountain Home; one daughter, Kimberly Graddy and husband Michael of Evening Shade; 15 grandchildren; 16 great grandchildren; and a host of other relatives and friends.

Graveside services will be Wednesday, April 8, 2020 at 2:00 p.m. at the Evening Shade Cemetery with Bro. Steven Martin officiating. Arrangements by Qualls Funeral Home of Cave City.

Honorary pallbearers are the Men of Cave City First Free will Baptist Church.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Evening Shade Cemetery Fund, C/O Donna Story, P.O. box 192, Evening shade, AR 72532.

Covid 19 social distancing guidelines will be observed.
