Clarence Monroe Coker, 93 of Floral passed away Saturday, October 24, 2020. He was born on March 9, 1927 near Rosie, Arkansas to Walter and Ora Reed Coker. He was a U.S. Army Veteran of World War II and a lifetime member of the VFW and DAV. He was a guide hunter for bear in Washington State and enjoyed all kinds of hunting and fishing. He enjoyed landscaping, growing shrubs and lawns. He was a member of the Salado Baptist Church.
He was preceded in death by his parents; two daughters, Carolyn Weatherly and Marilyn Bohanan; one son, Clarence Coker Jr.; one brother, Junior Coker; three sisters, Helen Hayes, Virginia Mae Hawkins and Pauletta Wilson; several grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Survivors include his wife, Frances Coker of the home; three daughters, Mary Schroeder (Larry) of Quartzsite, Arizona; Joyce Hicks of Washington State and Patricia Wycoff of Kansas; one son, Robert Coker of Kansas; several grandchildren; numerous great grandchildren; several great great grandchildren and a host of other relatives and friends.
Funeral services will be Tuesday, October 27, 2020 at 2:00 p.m. at the Qualls Batesville Funeral Service Chapel with Bro. John Vanwinkle officiating. Burial will follow in the Wyatt Cemetery at Rosie.
Visitation will be Monday, October 26, 2020 from 5:00 until 7:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
Pallbearers will be Gary Goodman, Cameron Scott, Sonny Hayes and Michael Robertson.
