Conley F. Varner, 79 of Cave City passed away Thursday, January 9, 2020 at his home. He was born April 24, 1940 in Bakersfield, California to William Matt and Ruby Lemay Varner. He was a retired backhoe operator from the construction industry.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his first wife, Viola Varner; an infant brother, Boyd Varner and a sister, Geraldine Stigall.
Survivors include his wife, Phyllis Runyan Varner of the home; three sons, Matt Varner of Hardy, Ed Varner (Sherry) of Bakersfield, California and Tom Varner (Sandra) of Mound, Texas; two daughters, Connie Jean Varner of Fayetteville and Angie Varner of Long Beach, California; two sisters, Helen Porter of Batesville and Bonnie Markum of Bakersfield, California; six grandchildren and a host of other relatives and friends.
Funeral services will be Monday, January 13, 2020 at 2:00 p.m. at the Qualls Funeral Home Chapel in Cave City. Burial will follow in the Mount View Cemetery located east of Cave City.
Visitation will be from 1:00 p.m. until service time at the funeral home.
Pallbearers will be Ryan Dupree, Tyler Dupree, Colton Vanwinkle, Mark Dupree, Jeff Dupree, and Craig Varner.
Honorary pallbearers are Keith Dupree, Justin Vanwinkle and Craig Porter.
