Danny Howell, 63 of Cave City died Monday, December 28, 2020 at his home. He was born December 11, 1957 in Searcy, Arkansas to Wayne and Vivian Kissinger Howell. He was a retired welder/ fabricator for the Arkansas Department of Transportation and attended First Free Will Baptist Church in Cave City. He was an avid outdoorsman, enjoyed woodworking, metal fabrication and spending time with his family and his grandbabies. He enjoyed lending a helping hand to anyone that he could.
He was preceded in death by his father, Wayne Howell.
Survivors include his wife of 43 years, Debbie Girtman Howell of the home; one son, Chris Howell (Chelsey) of Violet Hill; two daughters, Candice Thorne (Brad) of Cave City and Katie Beth Lockhart (Nicholas) of Odessa, Missouri; his mother, Vivian Howell of Cave City; two brothers, Kenny Howell (Shelly) and Tim Howell (Mary Ann) both of Cave City; one sister, Debbie Duncan (Jerry) of Conway; six grandchildren, Georgie Claire Thorne, Hazel Thorne, Emmie Thorne, Henry Lockhart, Harrison Lockhart and Gus Howell; and a host of other relatives and friends.
Graveside services will be Thursday, December 31, 2020 at 10:00 a.m. at the Cave City Cemetery with Bro. Steven Martin and Bro. Trent Bradley officiating. Arrangements are by Qualls Funeral Home of Cave City.
Honorary pallbearers are Rick Milligan, Tim Battles, Winfred Reed, Danny Watson, Jamie Kelley, Mike Davis and Jeremy Howell.
Following the State of Arkansas COVID-19 directives, Qualls Funeral Home practices social distancing, keeping a 6-foot distance between one another. Face masks are required to enter the building and to be worn at all times.
