Diane Lee Power, 82, of Sulphur Rock passed away on September 13, 2018. She was born in Albert Lea, Minnesota on August 31, 1936 to Robert Lee and Ruth Irene Van Nocker Jr. Diane was a faithful member of St. Paul’s Episcopal Church. She retired from Department of Human Services where she spent many years contributing to the lives of children in their care. Serving as a 4-H leader in the Charlotte Community, she was a founder of the Independence County Horse and Dairy Clubs.
She was preceded in death by her parents and by her husband, Eugene Burton Power.
Survivors include her children, Sabrina Williams, Rhea (Terry) Jennings, Bobby (Veronica) Power, and Mary Power; grandchildren, Justin (Tina) McCarson, Destiny (Toby) Hastings, Lesley (Jacob) Wallace, Laken (Andrew) Caldwell, Alicia Kay Jefferson, Dustin Greenfield, Cameron Power, Blaine Turner, and great grandchildren, Cullan McCarson and Lawson McCarson.
Funeral services will be held Saturday, September 15, 2018 at 10:00 a.m. at the Qualls Funeral Home Chapel in Cave City with Father Jim McDonald officiating. Burial will follow in the James Cemetery located in the Cedar Grove Community.Friday, September 14, 2018
