Dizzy Dean Higginbottom, 82 of Cherokee Village died Monday, May 7, 2018. He was born October 19, 1935 at Poughkeepsie, Arkansas to Roe and Ruth Kunkel Higginbottom. He retired in 1993 from Cooper Industries in Cullman, Alabama. He enjoyed coaching American Legion baseball in Anderson Indiana for many years.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Survivors include one son, Paul Higginbottom (Ila) of Ash Flat; two daughters, Jeanie Ann Stahl (Mark) and Janna Cox both of Anderson, Indiana; one sister, Nancy Lou Forrester (Vinson) of Anderson Indiana; one nephew, Dean Forrester (Nancy) of Anderson, Indiana; eight grandchildren, Ryan Stahl, Laura Wells, Andrew Stahl, Andrea Gann, Haiven Cox, Keeley Cox, Hannah Cox and Kandace Cox; eight great grandchildren; and a host of other relatives and friends.
Funeral services will be Thursday, May 10, 2018 at 2:00 p.m. at the Qualls Funeral Home Chapel in Cave City with Michael Higginbottom officiating. Burial will follow in the Evening Shade Cemetery.
Visitation will be Wednesday, May 9, 2018 from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
Pallbearers will be Ryan Stahl, Adam Gann, Josh Wells, Grant Humphries, Michael Higginbottom and Will Humphries.
Honorary Pallbearers are Dr. Tommy Taylor, Edith Jensen, Virgil Kunkel, Wayne Jetton, and Phillip Orr.
