Doris O’Neill, 70 of Sandtown died Thursday, December 5, 2019. She was born November 15, 1949 in Tampa, Florida to William and Bertie Edwards Hamann. She was retired from the ConAgra Foods hatchery in Batesville and was a member of the Pool’s Chapel Free Will Baptist Church at Sandtown.
She was preceded in death by her parents; a daughter, Ann Marie Taylor Flemming and a brother, Arlis Hamann.
Survivors include her husband, Ed O’Neill of the home; one son, Will Taylor (Aundria) of Sandtown; two step daughters, Maureen O’Neill (Mark Bucksath) of Chicago, Illinois and Kelly Russell (Ed) of Linthicum, Maryland; two brothers, Frank Hamann of Batesville and David Hamann of Gulfport, Mississippi; one sister, Debra Flake of Gulfport, Mississippi; ten grandchildren; one great grandchild; and a host of other relatives and friends.
Funeral services will be Tuesday, December 10, 2019 at 10:00 a.m. at the Qualls Funeral Home Chapel in Cave City with Bro. Curt Howard and Bro. Dennis Edgin officiating. Burial will follow in the Lee’s Chapel Cemetery at Sandtown.
Visitation will be Monday, December 9, 2019 from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
Pallbearers will be James Crafton, Otis Light, Justin Conway, Nick Spivey, Billy Mejeur and Keary Landers.
Honorary pallbearers are Charles Hastings, Jimmy Dale Hastings, James Hastings, Jacob Pierce, Glen Medley and Ken Medlock.
