Doris Polston

Doris Polston, 87 of Strawberry passed away Thursday, May 12, 2022.  She was born April 12, 1935 in Corinth, Mississippi to Dewey and Hilada Hudson Leggett.  She was a homemaker and worked several years for Precision Lures in Strawberry.  She was a member of the Mount Harmony Free Will Baptist Church in Saffell.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Jerrell Polston; one son, Sonny Polston; two brothers, Dudley Leggett and Bill Leggett; four sisters, Nina Brown, Lottie Oliver, Minnie Stark and Betty Howell and a grandson, Troy Cannon.

Survivors include one daughter, Ramona Cannon of Strawberry; one brother, Paul Leggett (Grace) of Illinois; three sisters, Agnes McDuffee and Linda Kay Knotts both of Illinois and Mary Leggett of Marvel; four grandchildren, Scott Polston, Suzanne Teel, Brett Cannon and Annette Townsley; ten great grandchildren, Kane Teel, Kullen Teel, Tyler Teel, Trevor Teel, Haizen Teel, Chloe Polston, Mallory Boozer, Tristan Cannon, Kendall Townsley and Jonathan Townsley; one great great grandchild, Gracie Boozer; and a host of other relatives and friends.

A visitation will be held Saturday, May 14, 2022 from 10:00 until 10:45 a.m. at the Mount Harmony Free Will Baptist Church in Saffell followed by a graveside service at 11:00 a.m. at the Dry Creek Cemetery in Lynn with Bro Greg Tucker and Kenny Townsley officiating.  Arrangements are by Qualls Funeral Home of Cave City.

Pallbearers will be Scott Polston, Brett Cannon, Heath Teel, Kenny Townsley, Kendall Townsley and Tristan Cannon.
