Dwight Cooper, 75, of Concord died Friday, February 1, 2019. He was born April 15, 1943 in Concord, Arkansas to Daniel Monroe and Annie Brock Cooper. He was a retired truck driver, a U.S. Army Vietnam Veteran, and a member of the First Baptist Church in Concord.
He was preceded in death by his parents and one sister, Alta Turner.
Survivors include his wife of 48 years, Glenda Robbins Cooper of the home; one son Brian Cooper (Amanda) of Concord; five brothers, Wallace Cooper (Daisy), Sonny Cooper, and Marlin Cooper (Teresa) all of Concord, Ray Cooper (Sharon) of Cave City, and Robert Cooper (Artivee) of Ponca City, Oklahoma; two sisters, Margie Tucker (John L.) of Concord, and Jerlene Jackson of Heber Springs; 7 grandchildren, Cheyanne, Courtney, Kimberly, Cassandra, Kailynn, Corbin, and Addison; five great-grandchildren; and a host of other relatives and friends.
Funeral services will be Monday, February 4, 2019 at 10:00 a.m. at the First Baptist Church in Concord with Bro. Lee Dillard officiating. Burial will follow in the Wallace Cooper Family Cemetery located at Concord with arrangements by Qualls Batesville Funeral Service.
Visitation will be Sunday, February 3, 2019 from 5:00 until 7:00 p.m. at the church.
Pallbearers will be Carl Cooper, Wayne Cooper, Tony Robbins, Jamie Robbins, Briston Gould, and Brett Robbins.
