Dwight Allen Simmons, 65 of Smithville died Sunday, December 9, 2018. He was born February 18, 1953 at Batesville, Arkansas to Clyde B. and Bertha Fay (Foster) Simmons. He was a lifelong Carpenter and of the Baptist faith.
Survivors include two sons, Dwight Adam Simmons of Smithville and Shawn Allen Simmons of Clarksville; one daughter, Ashley Nicole Simmons of Little Rock; two brothers, Donald Wayne Simmons (Brenda) of Cave City and Clyde D. Simmons (Martha) of Lavaca; six grandchildren, Jazmine Nicole Simmons, Cadince Layla Simmons, T.J. Logan, Maya Simmons, Ali Simmons, and Haley Simmons; one nephew; Jonathan Simmons (Shelly) of Cave City, one niece; Heather Simmons Landers (Adam) of Cave City, and a host of other relatives and friends.
Funeral services will be Wednesday, December 12, 2018 at 2:00 p.m. at the Qualls Funeral Home Chapel in Cave City with Bro. Dennis Gay officiating. Burial will follow at the Fairview Cemetery located east of Cave City.
Visitation will be 1:00 p.m. until service time.
Pallbearers will be Ronald Mobley, Keith Bates, Jim Baxter, Michael Mobley, Quinton Morgan, and Dustin Drennan.
Honorary pallbearers are Steve Koch, Kenny Everett, and Jonathan Simmons.
