Eddie Glenn Herndon, 65 of Cave City died Saturday, November 24, 2018. He was born October 2, 1953 in Batesville, Arkansas to Herbert Glenn and Jacquelyn Yvonne (Kunkel) Herndon. He was a retired truck driver for Herndon’s Sanitation, a Mason and a member of First Missionary Baptist Church in Cave City.
He was preceded in death by his father; his grandmother, Edna Kunkel and a grandson, Colton Glenn Hites.
Survivors include his wife, Lila Herndon of the home; daughter, Dana Taylor (Robert) of Moro; his mother, Jacquelyn Herndon of Cave City; two stepsons, Dylan Carey of Batesville and Michael Carey (Yolanda) of Missouri; two brothers, Tony Lynn Herndon (Sharon) and Brent Herndon (Dianne) both of Cave City; one sister, Judy Gwendalyn Nelson (Terry) of Evening Shade; one grandson, Trey David Hites; three great grandchildren, Laken Hites, Kayson Hites and Kenzlee Hites; several nieces and nephews and a host of other relatives and friends.
Funeral services will be Wednesday, November 28, 2018 at 3:00 p.m. at the First Missionary Baptist Church in Cave City with Bro. Ron Canard officiating. Burial will follow in the Evening Shade Cemetery with arrangements by Qualls Funeral Home of Cave City.
Visitation will be Tuesday, November 27, 2018 from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
Pallbearers will be Aaron Herndon, Ryan Herndon, Dustin Herndon, Shannon Herndon, Tony Farris and Joshua Stewart.
Honorary pallbearers are, Dylan Carey, Michael Carey, Clint Perkey, Shane Bramblett, Robert Taylor, Terry Nelson, Brian Barber, Trey Hites, Brad Kealer, Tyler Gillihan, Dennis Ward and John Reynolds.
