Emmett Tillman Gregory, 77 of Batesville died Tuesday, April 17, 2018 at his home. He was born December 23, 1940 at Texarkana, Arkansas to Robert Emmett and Gracie Mae Pogue Gregory. He was an Army National Guard Veteran and a member of the Calvary Baptist Church in Batesville, where he had served as a Deacon. He was an awesome husband, father and grandfather. He was an avid outdoorsman and enjoyed spending time outdoors with his grandsons. He also loved telling people about the Lord. He was preceded in death by his parents and an infant sister, Gracie Gregory. Survivors include his wife of 55 years. Earline Henson Gregory of the home; one son, Terry Gregory (Kimberly) of Little Rock; one daughter, Tammy Gregory Carter of Austin, Texas; six grandchildren, Brandon Gregory, Porter Gregory, Trevor Gregory, Carolyn Brown, Sarah Catherine Brown and Will Brown; and a host of other relatives and friends. Funeral services will be Friday, April 20, 2018 at 2:00 p.m. at the Calvary Baptist Church in Batesville with Bro. Randy Scott officiating. Burial will follow in the Roselawn Memorial Gardens in Batesville with arrangements by Qualls Batesville Funeral Service of Batesville. Visitation will be from 1:00 p.m. until service time at the church. Pallbearers will be Denver Huskey, Roy Cartwright, Ken Ray, Charles Hansen, Michael Henson and Paul Wayne Henson. Honorary pallbearers are members of the Men’s Fellowship Sunday School Class at Calvary Baptist Church.
