Fred Doyle Jones, 75, of Batesville died Wednesday, November 14, 2018 in Bentonville, Arkansas. He was born March 12, 1943 in Batesville, Arkansas to Raymond L. and Faye Mallett Jones. He was a retired electrician and of the Baptist faith.
He was preceded in death by his parents; one step-daughter, Carol Sommers; six brothers, J.H. Jones, R.L. Jones, Ronald Jones, Emil Jones, Hollis Jones, and Aubrey Jones; three sisters, Aleatha Jones Story, Jaqueta Jones Smith, and Nelda Gay Criman.
Survivors include three sons, Ricky Jones and Rodney Jones (Susan) both of Batesville, and Chris Jones (Tiffany) of Bentonville; one daughter Cindy Jones of Wichita, Kansas; one brother, Mylus Dwayne Jones of Batesville; seven grandchildren, Casey Jones Keating (Jarrad), Hannah Jones Logan (Chris), Maranda Jones Johnson (Corey), Cody Jones, Taylor Jones, Tianna Jones, Brittnay Hall; four great-grandchildren, Johnny Johnson, July Johnson, Jocie Johnson, and John Keating; and a host of other relatives and friends.
Funeral services will be Monday, November 19, 2018 at 10:00 a.m. at the First Free Will Baptist Church in Batesville with Bro. Bobby Shepherd officiating. Burial will follow in the Pleasant Valley Cemetery near Cushman with arrangements by Qualls Batesville Funeral Service.
Visitation will be Sunday, November 18, 2018 from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
Pallbearers will be Lonnie Shrum, Charlie Jones, Paul Carter, Marcus Bowers, Danny Neal, John Clements, Mike Hatfield, Larry Shaw, Gaylin Hatfield, and Jeffery Wolford.
Honorary pallbearers are Tommy Osborn, Shawn Stephens and Robert Griffin.
