Garland Taylor, 75 of Searcy died Saturday, August 15, 2020. He was born August 20, 1944 in Evening Shade, Arkansas to Elbert Arson and Reba Qualls Taylor. He was a retired truck driver for Wal-Mart and a veteran of the California National Guard. He was a member of the Floyd United Methodist Church.
He was preceded in death by his parents; two brothers, Arson Taylor and Clifton Taylor and one sister, Patsy Taylor Bettis.
Survivors include his wife of 52 years, Susan Taylor of the home; one son, Joseph Wayne Taylor and wife Candace of Clarksville, Tennessee; several nieces and nephews and a host of other relatives and friends.
Graveside services will be Thursday, August 20, 2020 at 2:00 p.m. at the Bear Creek Cemetery in Evening Shade with Rev. Mark Quick officiating. Arrangements by Qualls Funeral Home of Cave City.
Visitation will be Thursday, August 20, 2020 from 12:30 until 1:30 p.m. at the funeral home.
Pallbearers will be Kelley Williams, Nicky Painter, Dale Foley, Ricky Qualls, Stanley Taylor and Christopher Taylor.
In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Floyd United Methodist Church, 197 Eb Quick Rd., El Paso, AR 72045.
