Gerald Dean Blevins, 89, of Batesville passed away on Friday, July 19, 2024 at his home. He was born October 30, 1934 in Cave City to Ruel Blevins and Ermil Christenberry Blevins. He was a retired truck driver for over 40 years with ConAgra Frozen Foods where he received twenty five safety driving awards.

He enjoyed camping, tinkering with old cars and spending time with his family.

He was preceded in death by his parents; a brother, J.R. Blevins and three sisters, Faye Roberson, Leda Mae Treadway and Willene St. John.

Survivors include his wife of 36 years, Maxine Reynolds Blevins of the home; two sons, James Blevins of Newark and Gary Windland (Deanna) of Liberty, Oklahoma; four daughters, Lana Blevins Jones (Gary) of Dallas, TX, Marie Blevins of Rogers, Dianne Huff (Jeff) of Batesville and Sandy Jorden (Gary) of Cave City; a brother, Carl Blevins of Campbell, MO; two sisters, Joyce Blevins of Bethesda and Sherry Rounds of Southside; seventeen grandchildren, twenty-nine great grandchildren, three great-great grandchildren, several nieces, nephews and a host of other relatives and friends.

Funeral services will be on Friday, July 26, 2024 at 10:00 a.m. at Qualls Batesville Funeral Service chapel with Bro. Ira Brokaw officiating.

Burial will follow at Egner Cemetery located in Salado.

Arrangements are by Qualls Batesville Funeral Service.

Visitation will be on Thursday, July 25, 2024 from 5-7 p.m. at the funeral home.

Pallbearers will be Jeff Huff, Jessie Blevins, Denny Gallap, James Blevins, Gary Windland and John Windland.
