Helen Palmer Fulbright

Helen Palmer Fulbright, formerly of Cave City, Arkansas passed away July 26, 2019, in Tulsa, Oklahoma. She was born March 29, 1930, to Lonnie and Minnie Williams Palmer. She had two much loved and admired younger brothers, Lonnie Palmer, Jr. and J.M. Palmer. She was the last survivor of her family of origin.  

After living in Arizona from 1936 to 1942, she returned to Cave City to finish school. She attended Arkansas College. While there she was selected to be Miss Arkansas College of 1950.

On June 3, 1951, she wed Duane Fulbright of Independence County. They lived in Wichita, Kansas twenty years. Two children were born of their marriage; Laurie Fulbright of Tulsa, Oklahoma and Tom Fulbright of Rapid City, South Dakota. Helen was employed many years by Boeing Aircraft in the personnel department.   In 1971, Helen and Duane moved to North Little Rock, Arkansas where she was employed by Associated Management as a leasing agent.

During their marriage three children were born to their son Tom. These grandchildren, Ramsay, Kate and Sam were the long anticipated and hoped for joy of her life.

Helen moved to Tulsa, Oklahoma in 2005, after Duane's death in 2003.

Helen is survived by her children and grandchildren; Tom's partner, Angela Anderson; two stepdaughters, Jackie Anderson and Olivia Rooker, and Ramsay's wife, Karilynn.

Funeral services will be Wednesday, July 31, 2019 at 10:00 a.m. at the Qualls Batesville Funeral Service Chapel. Burial will follow in the Oaklawn Cemetery in Batesville

Visitation will be Tuesday, July 30, 2019 from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
