Helen Louise Johnson Lackey Romine, 94 of Pleasant Plains died Wednesday, November 14, 2018. She was born August 4, 1924 at Maxville, Arkansas to Washington Howell and Louise Paralee Johnson. She was retired from International Shoe Factory in Batesville and a member of the Maxville Missionary Baptist Church.
She was preceded in death by her parents; two husbands, Ottis Lackey and Winston Romine; five brothers, Orville Johnson, Clyde Johnson, Estel Johnson, Elvis Johnson and Lester Johnson and two sisters, Beulah Powell and Blanche Hollandsworth.
Survivors include son, Mike Lackey (Kem) of Pleasant Plains; sister, Agnes Milligan of Cave City; two grandchildren, Leslie Sessums (Eric) of Braselton, Georgia and Brandon Lackey (Rose) of Hot Springs; four great grandchildren, Rainy Sessums, Zoey Sessums, Lillie Vines and Jasmine Vines; several nieces and nephews and a host of other relatives and friends.
Funeral services will be Saturday, November 17, 2018 at 2:00 p.m. at the Maxville Missionary Baptist Church located north of Cave City with Bro. Sammy Bennett and Bro. Mike Churchwell officiating. Burial will follow in the Maxville Cemetery. Arrangements by Qualls Funeral Home of Cave City.
Visitation will be from 1:00 p.m. until service time at the church.
Pallbearers will be Gary Johnson, Phillip Johnson, Larry Johnson, Dwain Johnson, Jeff Miller and Bobby Smithee.
