Howard Lee Carpenter, 77, of Salado died Monday, September 24, 2018. He was born September 3, 1941 at Salado, Arkansas to Jess B. and Opal Jackson Carpenter. He had worked many years in auto sales.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Survivors include two sons, Clark Carpenter of Jonesboro and Mark Carpenter (Carma) of Pleasant Plains; one daughter, Glenda Carpenter of Pleasant Plains; one brother, Dixie Carpenter (Barbara) of Bethesda; one sister, Jo Ann Parker Doggett (Kenneth) of Batesville; one half sister, Kathy Carpenter Lindley (Robert) of Gulf Shores, Alabama; four grandchildren, Ethan Carpenter (Brittany), Lauren Jackson (Kevin), Taylor Carpenter, and Joel Carpenter; four great-grandchildren, Keelan Carpenter, Corbayn Carpenter, Isabell Carpenter, and Tinley Jackson.
Funeral services will be Friday, September 28, 2018 at 10:00 a.m. at the Qualls Batesville Funeral Service Chapel with Kenneth Doggett officiating. Burial will follow in the Egner Cemetery located at Salado.
No visitation is planned.
Pallbearers will be Taylor Carpenter, Ethan Carpenter, Joel Carpenter, David Carpenter, Jesse Parker, and Kevin Jackson.
Honorary Pallbearer is Nathan Cumming with special appreciation to him and his wife Jennifer Parker Cumming for all the love and support shown during Howard’s final years. Also a special thank you for the love and support shown to Dad from the Seven Springs Nursing Home staff and Hospice.
