Hubert Junior McLane, 87 of Smithville died Thursday, August 23, 2018. He was born May 28, 1931 at Gainesboro, Arkansas to Hubert Earnest and Ruby Pauline (Drummond) McLane. He was a retired truck driver, a U.S. Army Korean War Veteran and a member of the Church of Christ.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Lou Ann McLane; two brothers, Odell McLane and twin brother, Aaron McLane and one sister, Effie Lindsey.
Survivors include two sons, Hubert Terry McLane of Smithville and Phillip Junior McLane (Shelly) of Middleburg, Florida; one daughter, Venita Maddux of Gladstone, Missouri; three grandchildren, Julia Willimon, Samantha McLane and Matthew McLane; five great grandchildren; and a host of other relatives and friends.
Funeral services will be Saturday, September 1, 2018 at 2:00 p.m. at the Qualls Funeral Home Chapel in Cave City with Dean Fugett officiating. Burial will follow in the Liberty Cemetery located near Gainesboro.
Visitation will be Saturday, September 1, 2018 from 1:00 p.m. until service time at the funeral home.
Pallbearers will be Matthew McLane, Jim Keller, Lee Black, Dennis Kellems, Jerry Lindsey, Allen Lindsey, Rod Keller, Chris Lindsey and James Lindsey.
Honorary pallbearers are Chad Lindsey and Doyle Black.
