J. B. Milligan, 98 of Batesville passed away Monday, November 22, 2021. He was born November 24, 1922 in Batesville, Arkansas. He was the son of Arvil and Mary Milligan Millspaugh. He was a retired Church of Christ minister having served at numerous churches throughout Arkansas and Missouri; a member of Harrison Street Church of Christ in Batesville and a U.S. Army Veteran of World War II.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Jessie Bridgman Milligan; one son, David Milligan; three brothers, Jack Millspaugh, Jimmy Millspaugh and Berle Millspaugh and three sisters, Wanda Sherrill, Merle Christilli and Patsy Long.
Survivors include one daughter, Debbie Wade of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma; one brother, Jerry Millspaugh of Charlotte; two granddaughters, Amie Birdsong of Little Rock and Lindsay Haivala of Midwest City, Oklahoma; five great grandchildren, Braden Birdsong, Ally Birdsong, Gage Birdsong, Hayden Haivala and Halle Haivala; and a host of other relatives and friends.
Funeral services will be Saturday, November 27, 2021 at 2:00 p.m. at the Qualls Batesville Funeral Service Chapel with Ted Knight officiating. Burial will follow in the Oaklawn Cemetery in Batesville.
Visitation will be from 1:00 p.m. until service time at the funeral home.
Pallbearers will be Gary Bridgman, Hayden Haivala, Bobby Sherrill, Randy Long, Kenny Moser and Donald Boles.
Honorary pallbearers are the Staff of Eagle Mountain Assisted Living and Ron Webb.
