James E. Jones, 89, of Batesville died Thursday, December 20, 2018. He was born January 21, 1929 in Randolph County, Arkansas to Sam and Zadie Jones. He was a retired factory worker, a U.S. Army Veteran, and had attended First Free Will Baptist Church in Batesville.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Eula Faye Jones; three brothers, Manuel L. Jones, Granville L. Jones, and Jake H. Jones; and grandson, Adam Jones.
Survivors include son, Jimmy Jones (Karen) of Loves Park, Illinois; two brothers, Junior Jones and Norman Jones both of Rockford, Illinois; two grandchildren, David Jones and Sara Jones both of Loves Park, Illinois; and a host of other relatives and friends.
Funeral services will be Friday, December 28, 2018 at 2:00 p.m. at the Qualls Batesville Funeral Service Chapel with Bro. Bobby Shepherd officiating. Burial will follow in the Reeves Cemetery near Guion.
Visitation will be from 1:00 p.m. until service time at the funeral home.
