James Otto Townsley

James Otto Townsley, 85, of Jonesboro passed away Saturday, November 2, 2024 at St. Bernards Medical Center. He was born January 27, 1939 in Shelbyville, AR to Jim and Gladys (Milligan) Townsley. He was a 1957 graduate of Cave City High School and a retired fast food business owner. He also served his country in the Army Reserves.

He was preceded in death by his parents, wife Elaine (Wheeler) Townsley, and brother in law, Conway Crabtree.

Survivors include three children; Curt, Tina, and Victor Townsley all of Jonesboro; two sisters, Anna Beth Crabtree and Evelyn (Benny) Ross of Cave city; one brother, Jerry (Connie) Townsley of Batesville; three grandchildren, Logan (Alyssa) Thorp of Wisconsin, Dylan Thorp of Wisconsin, Kylee Townsley of Jonesboro; two great grandchildren, Reagan and Reece Thorp of Wisconsin, along with a host of other relatives and friends.

Arrangements by Qualls Batesville Funeral Service.

A private service will be held at a later date.
