James Ray Winkle, 68 of Evening Shade died Monday, September 30, 2019. He was born April 18, 1951 at Senath, Missouri to Delbert Ray and Nora Helen (Weatherford) Winkle. He was a retired mechanic and a Christian minister having pastored Little Brick Community Church in Senath, Missouri and Deliverance Tabernacle in Evening Shade.
He was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Roger Dale, Jervie Lee, Roy Gene, Bobby and Raymond Winkle and sisters, Peggy Jenkins, Patty Brown and Lois Ward.
Survivors include his wife of 51 years, Diana Robertson Winkle; daughters, Connie Sue Luker (Brian), Diana Ray Duncan (Kenny) and Susan Ray Arnold (Clifton) all of Evening Shade; brothers, Charles Junior Winkle (Trish) and Jimmy Winkle both of Senath, Missouri; sisters, Joyce Maxwell (Roger) of Spring Hill, Louisiana, Shirley Slaton (Maxell) of Maumelle, Betty Howard (Louie) of Pottsville and Katherine Jameson (George) of Arbyrd, Missouri; grandchildren, Brayden Luker, Tesaray Duncan and Pierce Arnold; and a host of other relatives and friends.
Graveside services will be Wednesday, October, 2, 2019 at 10:00 a.m. at the Winkle Cemetery in Evening Shade with Bro. Terry Vaughn officiating. Arrangements by Qualls Funeral Home of Cave City.
Visitation will be Tuesday, October 1, 2019 from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
