Jason Lynn McDonald born September 11, 1981, passed away from Congestive Heart Failure on Sunday July 30, 2023 at the age of 41 years old. Jason lived in Batesville, Arkansas with his mother Edna Lucille McDonald. He was born in Little Rock, Arkansas. Jason loved watching WWE wrestling, NASCAR racing and spending quality time with his dog Daisey. Jason was a big defender of the underdog, human or animal.
Jason is survived by his four children, Casey Dale McDonald, Arabella Jaylynn McDonald, Heidi Duke and Adrian Duke (all of the Batesville area); his mother, Edna Lucille Mcdonald of Batesville, Arkansas; brothers, Jessy Lee McDonald of Tupelo, Mississippi and Kevin Smith Sr. (Sherri) of Batesville, Arkansas; several close friends and many nieces and nephews.
He is preceded in death by his grandparents on both sides; and his father Gary Lee McDonald.
The family would love to thank Bro. Stacy Reed, Bro. Gene Tulberg and Bro Eddie Cox at First Baptist Church of Batesville, Arkansas for everything that they have done in the past for Jason and the continued support for the family through this time. Jason looked up to all three of these Godly men for their compassion, understanding and willingness to help him during difficult times.
Funeral services will be held Thursday, August 3, 2023, at 2:00 p.m. at the Qualls Batesville Funeral Service Chapel with Pastor Stacy Reed, Gene Tulberg and Eddie Cox officiating. Burial will follow in the Oaklawn Cemetery in Batesville with arrangements by Qualls Batesville Funeral Service. A visitation will be held 1:00 p.m. until service time.
Pallbearers will be Kevin Smith, Jr, Michael Light, Justin Crafton, Jessy McDonald, Ethan Kempher and Ryan Brown.
