Jerry E. Campbell, 87 of Sandtown went to his heavenly home on Wednesday, July 7, 2021 at the White River Medical Center in Batesville. He was born December 2, 1933 at home in Bethesda, Arkansas to Earnest C. and Belva Hastings Campbell. He worked at International Shoe Factory in Batesville until it closed and then retired to his farm in Sandtown. He was a U.S. Navy Veteran and a member of Cave City First Assembly of God.
He was preceded in death by his parents; four sisters, Freda Thomas, Cleva Carter, Wanda Roach and Nina Carter.
Survivors include his wife Jean Campbell of the home; one daughter, Sherry Campbell Perkins (Frank) of Elkins; one granddaughter, Dianna Perkins Luttrell (Chris) of Springdale; one great granddaughter, Brookelynn Luttrell of Springdale; three brothers, J.A. Campbell and Bob Campbell (Dana) both of Sandtown and Gary Campbell (Charlotte) of Mount Pleasant; one sister, Earnestine Campbell of Sandtown; several nieces and nephews and a host of other relatives and friends.
Funeral services will be Sunday, July 11, 2021 at 2:00 p.m. at the Qualls Funeral Home Chapel in Cave City with Bro. Bobby Sanders officiating. Burial will follow in the Lee’s Chapel Cemetery in Sandtown.
Visitation will be from 1:00 p.m. until service time at the funeral home.
Pallbearers will be Tony Carter, Danny Carter, Danny Stephens, Rodney Barnett, Terence Carter and Stephen Downs.
