Jimmy Ray Johnson, 78, of Cave City, Arkansas passed away Saturday, August 19, 2023 in Batesville, Arkansas. He was born April 23, 1945 in Manila, Arkansas to Raymond and Othel (Gammiel) Johnson. He worked several years for the Co-Op service station and was retired from the Sharp County Road Department. He was a member of the Mt. View Missionary Baptist Church in Cave City. Jimmy enjoyed fishing, gardening, sitting on his porch swing and working with his tractor.

He is preceded in death by his parents; his wife of 62 years, Alice Ann Johnson; and one brother, J.T. Johnson.

He is survived by his sons, Billy Johnson (Rita) of Batesville, Arkansas and Eddie Johnson (Amy) of Cave City, Arkansas; one brother, Gene Johnson (Georgeann) of Cave City, Arkansas; nine grandchildren, fifteen great grandchildren; and other relatives and friends.

Funeral services will be held Wednesday, August 23, 2023 at 10:00 a.m. at the Qualls Funeral Home Chapel in Cave City with Tracy Grissom officiating. Burial will follow in the Cave City Cemetery with arrangements by Qualls Funeral Home.

Visitation will be Tuesday, August 22, 2023 from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home.

Pallbearers will be Aaron Hunter, Jonathan Hunter, Justin Hunter, Max Hunter, Austin Hunter and Travis Johnson.

Honorary pallbearers are Donald Wayne Stout and Anthony Hunter.
