Jimmy Ray McNally, 69 of Pleasant Plains (formerly of Batesville) died Saturday, May 11, 2019. He was born July 19, 1949 in Little Rock, Arkansas to Pat and Joyce McFall McNally. He was raised in Houston, Texas and moved to Arkansas in 1974. He was a business owner, rock layer, steel mill worker and retired from Wal-Mart in 2016. He enjoyed fishing, NASCAR and watching westerns. He always said he was born 100 years too late to be a cowboy. He also enjoyed spending time with his brother, daughter and their families.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his step-father, Robert Burns Sr.; brother, Robert Burns Jr.; and sister, Nina Landry.
Survivors include daughter, Jennifer Rogers (David) of Batesville; brothers, Ken Burns (Paula) of Pleasant Plains, Michael Burns (Anita) of Van Ormy, Texas and Richard Sellers Connie) of Flatonia, Texas;; grandchildren, Andrew Schwartz, Justin Schwartz, Arissa Miranda, Summer Rogers and Mark Rogers; great grandchildren, Nami Schwartz and Chloe Parker; and a host of other relatives and friends.
Funeral services will be Friday, May 17, 2019 at 2:00 p.m. at the Qualls Batesville Funeral Service Chapel in Batesville with Barry Anderson officiating. Burial will follow in Pleasant Plains Cemetery.
Visitation will be Thursday, May 16, 2019 from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
Pallbearers will be Justin Schwartz, Rick Roberts, Todd Sarrells, Jeff Cole, Jerry Allen and David Rogers.
Honorary pallbearers are Wayne Davis and Gene McFall.
