Jimmy H. Skinner, 85 of Cherokee Village died Thursday, October 24, 2019 at his home. He was born October 9, 1934 in Lindsey, Oklahoma to Eddie George and Elma (Ward) Skinner. He married Lena Childress on April 10, 1954 and they were married for 65 years.
He was preceded in death by his parents; three brothers, Bob Skinner, Wendell Skinner and Marvin Skinner; one sister, Reba Barton and two grandsons, David Smith and Jeremy Smith.
Survivors include his wife, Lena Childress Skinner of the home; two daughters, Sherry Skinner Smith (Chris) of Sidney and Terrie Skinner Noletti (Vince) of Fresno, California; two brothers, Danny Skinner and Eddie Dean Skinner both of Oklahoma; one sister, Patsy Skinner of Oklahoma nine grandchildren, Erica Smith of Germantown, Tennessee, Tori Tate (Andy) of Melbourne, Erin Jennings (Josh) of Melbourne, Regan Miller (Jeremy) of Cherokee Village, Corie Durham (Shawn) of Jesup, Elizabeth Smith of Sidney, Jennifer Friesen (Kevin) of Albquerque, New Mexico, Devon Boyce (Chris) of Hanford, California, Jonathan Yale (Monique) of Fresno, California; ten great grandchildren; and a host of other relatives and friends.
Graveside services will be Monday, October 28, 2019 at 2:00 p.m. at the Milligan Campground Cemetery near Calamine with Bro. Ron Boling officiating. Arrangements by Qualls Funeral Home of Cave City.
Visitation will be Monday, October 28, 2019 from 12:30 until 1:30 p.m. at the funeral home.
Pallbearers will be Chris Smith, Andy Tate, Josh Jennings, Jeremy Miller, Chase Arnold and Shawn Durham.
Honorary pallbearers are Jonathan Yale and Private Third Class Blake Howard.
