John W. Cooper, 70 of Cave City died Thursday, June 11, 2020 at his home. He was born December 28, 1949 in Batesville, Arkansas to Verner Alton and Eulala Pinkston Cooper. He was a retired funeral director, a bus driver for Cave City Public Schools, a U.S. Army Veteran and a member of the Mount View Missionary Baptist Church in Cave City.
He was preceded in death by his parents; two brothers, Alton Cooper and Tom Cooper; three sisters, Ruby Rychtarik, Imalene Thacker and Allie Mae Cooper.
Survivors include his wife of 49 years, Sharon Sandy Cooper of the home; one son, Kevin Cooper (Anne) of Waukee, Iowa; one daughter, Wendy McDoniel (Laramie) of Newark; two brothers, Leland Cooper of Cave City and Clifton Cooper of Sulphur Rock; four sisters, Nina Jean Townsley, Lorene Burge and Bonnie Byrd (Michael) all of Cave City and Betty James (Michael) of Hardy; nine grandchildren; two great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews and a host of other relatives and friends.
Graveside services will be Saturday, June 13, 2020 at 2:00 p.m. at the Mount View Cemetery in Cave City with Bro. Vance Penn and Bro Eddie Robinson officiating. Arrangements by Qualls Funeral Home of Cave City.
Visitation will be Saturday, June 13, 2020 from 11:00 a.m. until 1:30 p.m. at the funeral home.
Pallbearers will be his grandsons.
