John Terry Nelson

John “Terry” Nelson, 73 of Cave City died Friday, November 6, 2020. He was born November 25, 1946 in Blytheville, Arkansas to John Herman and Melba Marie (Marks) Nelson.  He was a retired U.S. Army Vietnam Veteran and of the Baptist faith.  He was a member of Evening Shade VFW Post 8042.

He was preceded in death by his parents; one brother-in-law, Eddie Glenn Herndon and one sister-in-law, Millie Nelson.

Survivors include his wife, Judy Herndon Nelson of the home; one son, John Ryan Nelson of Bono, one daughter, Jodie Barber of Cave City; two brothers, Gary Nelson of Bono and Bobby Nelson of Blytheville; two grandchildren, Josh Stewart and Destini Ables; his mother-in-law, Jacquelyn Herndon of Cave City; two brothers-in-law, Tony Herndon (Sharon) and Brent Herndon (Diane) both of Cave City; two dogs, Toi and Amy Jo; and a host of other relatives and friends.

Private memorial services will be held at a later date. Arrangements by Qualls Funeral Home of Cave  City.
