Johney Frances Walker, 89, of Batesville, Arkansas passed away on Saturday, September 23, 2023 in Batesville. She was born August 20, 1934 in Strawberry, Arkansas to John and Nancy (Norman) Smith. She was a homemaker, a pastor’s wife for 60 plus years and a member of the Eastside Southern Baptist Church in Cave City.
She is preceded in death by her parents; her husband of 70 years, Rev. Bobby J. Walker; two brothers and two sisters.
She is survived by her son, Randy Walker (Donna) of Batesville, Arkansas; her daughter, Sherry Savage (Bradley) of Arcadia, Missouri; two sisters, Evelyn Huskey (Lavon) of Batesville, Arkansas and Janis McPhail of Southaven, Mississippi; three grandchildren, Leah Juliette (Kaleb) of Graniteville, Missouri, Lindsey Williams (Brandon) of Black, Missouri and Scott Walker of Eureka Springs, Arkansas; four great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews; and a host of other relatives and friends.
Funeral services will be held Tuesday, September 26, 2023 at 10:00 a.m. at the Eastside Southern Baptist Church in Cave City, Arkansas with Ronnie Toon and Morgan Woodard officiating. Burial will follow in the Ward Cemetery in Strawberry, Arkansas.
Visitation will be held on Monday, September 25, 2023 from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at the Qualls Batesville Funeral Service Chapel.
Arrangements are by Qualls Batesville Funeral Service of Batesville, Arkansas.
Pallbearers will be Darrell Conyers, John Tucker, Stephen Kimmer, Scott Walker, Luke Williams and Alex Williams.
Honorary pallbearers are Delbert Huskey, Denver Huskey, Grady Wilmuth, Kelly Wilmuth and Karr Juliette.
