Johnny Lee Brooks

Johnny Lee Brooks, 73 of Locust Grove passed away Sunday, February 28, 2021 at his home.  He was born November 4, 1947 in Batesville, Arkansas to Clifford and Willie McKay Brooks.  He was married to his wife of 52 years, Nora Fulbright Brooks on June 20, 1969.    He was a retired architectural draftsman and former owner of Brook’s Custom Home Design.  He was a member of Locust Gove Missionary Baptist Church.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

Survivors include his wife, Nora Brooks of the home; one sister, Sharie Williams of Edmund, Oklahoma; uncle, H.C. McKay; aunt, Ruby Goforth; grandchildren, Clint, Austin, Jacob, Joel and Madison Brown; nieces, Susan Buser (Bob), Lisa Herrington (Ronney), Rebecca Elms (John) and Heather Fuqua (Kirk); great nieces and nephews, Ayda, John Avery, Sawyer, Sadie, Thomas, Matthew, Carter, Chloe and Bella; and a host of other relatives and friends.

Funeral services will be Wednesday, March 3, 2021 at 2:00 p.m. at the Locust Grove Missionary Baptist Church with Bro. Alan Brown officiating.  Burial will follow in the Oaklawn Cemetery in Batesville with arrangements by Qualls Batesville Funeral Service.

Visitation will be from 1:00 p.m. until service time at the church.

Pallbearers will be Charles Tanner, Austin Brown, Clint Brown, Jacob Brown, Joel Brown and Mike Cushman.

Honorary pallbearers are Mickey Powell, Ronney Herrington, Gerald Fulbright and Dean Branscum.
