Johnny Clay Penn Jr., 71 of Batesville died Tuesday, February 9, 2021 at his home. He was born February 19, 1949 in Batesville, Arkansas to Johnny Clay Penn Sr. and Lois Rounds Penn. He was a retired truck driver for Wal-Mart and a member of Faith Hopewell Cumberland Presbyterian Church in Batesville. He loved his family, his friends, his church and all his church family. He loved drag racing and had many trophies that he won from participating in the sport.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Survivors include his wife, Annie Kam Penn; three daughters, Julie Granier of Sulphur Rock, Terri Adkins (Tommy) and Lisa McCord (Daniel) both of Batesville; one sister, Linda Carol Penn of Batesville; two grandchildren, Joseph Clay Granier and Leigha Adkins; two step-sons, Jeff Yan of Baltimore, Maryland and Will Yan of Memphis; and a host of other relatives and friends.
Graveside services will be Friday, February 12, 2021 at 2:00 p.m. at the Oaklawn Cemetery in Batesville with Jimmy Don Bales officiating. Arrangements are by Qualls Batesville Funeral Service of Batesville.
