Joyce Mynatt

Joyce Mynatt, of Mount Pleasant, Arkansas,  daughter of the late Marshel Alvis Bray and Vera Ethel McSpadden Bray, was born October 15, 1932.  She departed this life on April 1, 2022 in Melbourne, Arkansas at the age of 89 years.

After graduation from Mt. Pleasant she married William Roy Mynatt on January 5, 1952 in Sidney, Arkansas.  They just celebrated 70 years of marriage.  Together they raised three children.  Joyce was a homemaker, caretaker, a great neighbor, and a loving wife and mother.  Joyce was a lifetime member of the Barren Fork Cumberland Presbyterian Church where she loved to sing and volunteer for anything that was needed in the church.

Joyce is survived by her husband Roy of the home, one daughter Vickie Mynatt of Batesville, two sons: Curtis Mynatt and wife Dana of Batesville and Jeff Mynatt and wife Shana of Mt. Pleasant.  She had three grandchildren, Josh Griffin and wife Lei of Murfreesboro, TN, Taylor Mynatt of Bryant, Arkansas, and Trenton Mynatt of New Orleans, LA; one sister Beth Edwards and husband D.R. of Mt. Pleasant and a host of other relatives and many good friends.

 She was preceded in death by her daughter Kathy Lou;her parents; five brothers,Reese Bray, Reed Bray, Coy Bray, Lucius Bray, and Paul Bray and two sisters, Veola Claxton and Leola “Tootsie” Webb.

Funeral services will be Monday, April 4, 2022 at 2:00 p.m. at the Barren Fork Cumberland Presbyterian in Mt. Pleasant with Rev. Alan Meinzer officiating.  Burial will follow in the Barren Fork Cemetery with arrangements by Qualls Funeral Home of Cave City.

Visitation will be Sunday, April 3, 2022 from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home.

Pallbearers will be Darrell Webb, Rick Webb, Ronnie Bray, Randy Bray, Marshal Bray, Joey Bray, Tim Edwards, Barry Bray, Steven Bray, Quillen Edwards, Patrick Bray, James Coy Bray, and Randall Crafton.
