Juanita Bangs Dunegan Cothrine, 72 , a long time resident of Batesville, peacefully went home on Tuesday, June 11, 2019. She was born December 7, 1946 at Marcella, Arkansas to Paul “Pete” Bangs and Gracie Kemp Bangs. She graduated from Pleasant Grove High School in 1964.
Juanita was always full of life and such a loving daughter, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, wife and sister. She loved music, dancing, laughing, cooking and spending time with her family and friends. She was always a joy to be around.
She was preceded in death by her parents; two husbands, James Michael Dunegan and Joe Louis Cothrine; two sons, James Dunegan and JM Dunegan; daughter, Ruth Dunegan; brother Phillip Bangs and his wife Betty Bangs.
Survivors include her son, Chris Dunegan; three grandchildren, Evan Dunegan, Bailey Dunegan and Jordan Dunegan; great grandson, Gavin Rogers; sister, Linda Bangs Woodward and her husband, Edward “Woody” Woodward; and a host of other relatives and friends.
A memorial visitation will be held Saturday, June 15, 2019 from 2:00 until 4:00 p.m. at the Qualls Batesville Funeral Service Chapel in Batesville.
