Katheryn Nadine Spence Howard age 70 of Heber Springs passed away Tuesday, May 22, 2018 following a long illness. She was born February 9, 1948 at Mount Pleasant, Arkansas to William L. Spence and Lois Bramblett Spence Twilley.
Katheryn graduated from Mount Pleasant High School in 1966. Before her illness she was employed by Southwestern Bell in Little Rock, AR and Civil Service in Houston, TX. She was a member of the Church of Christ.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her stepfather, J. Alfred Twilley and a brother-in-law William Green.
She is survived by a son, Derek Kyle Howard and his wife Ashley; and three grandchildren, Marion, Emma, and Daylon Howard all of Louisiana; a brother, Robert Spence and his wife Doris of Mount Pleasant ; a sister, Adalene Spence Green of Little Rock; four nieces and one nephew and a host of other relatives and friends.
The family would like to give special thanks to Southridge Village Nursing and Rehab in Heber Springs for their excellent service and loving care given to Katheryn for all these years.
Graveside services will be Thursday, May 24, 2018 at 2:00 p.m. at the Reeves Cemetery located near Guion with Larry Sellers officiating. Arrangements by Qualls Batesville Funeral Service of Batesville.
Pallbearers will be Greg Niblock, Shane Spence, Dustin Gillihan and Aaron Laxton.
Honorary pallbearers are Lonzo Moser and Jim Dick Johnson.
