Kathy Reed McCain, 55 of Cave City, Arkansas went to be with the Lord on Saturday, November 28, 2020.
Born on March 28, 1965 in Holland, Michigan, Kathy was a free spirit with a gypsy soul who loved old cars, trucks and Harley motorcycles. She was a rebel who dared lived life on her own terms and a warrior who fought a courageous battle with breast cancer. As the administrator of the Facebook group, “Hippies/Gypsies and Free Spirits”, she was a source of strength and comfort to its 15,000 members.
She was preceded in death by her mother, Barbara Creasey; step father, Charles Creasey and father, Jim Reed and two sisters, Brenda Bradford and Lorie Griggs.
She is survived by her husband, Gregory McCain of Cave City; son, Nolan Menefee of Richville, OK, and daughters,Valerie Menefee and Kristian Menefee of Tulsa, OK; grandchildren, Raul Flores, Kambri Menefee, Alex Wasson, Jeremy Navarro; brother, Buddie Bradford of Jonesboro; sisters, Linda Walker of Hickory Ridge and Donetta Bradford of Batesville; brother in law, Paul Griggs of Jonesboro, numerous nieces and nephews and her spoiled babies, Bodie and Tess.
Graveside services will be announced at a later date. She will be laid to rest among the wildflowers at Antioch Cemetery in Drasco, Arkansas. Arrangements by Qualls Funeral Home of Cave City.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the charity that was of much comfort to Kathy during her cancer treatments, the Ribbons of Hope program at White River Medical Center in Batesville.
