Kimbrew Franklin Butler, 90 of Batesville died Monday, October 7, 2019 at his home. He was born May 15, 1929 in Smithville, Arkansas to Bernis and Willie Tompkins Butler. He was a farmer, a U.S. Air Force Veteran and a member of Zion Hill Missionary Baptist Church in Batesville. He was married to Fredia James on October 20, 1955. He enjoyed quail hunting and playing checkers and card games.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Fredia Mae (James) Butler on May 27, 2013.
Survivors include two daughters Linda Butler Gifford (Wayne) of Laquey, Missouri and Rebecca Butler Taylor (Leonard) of Evening Shade; two sisters, Olene Batey of Cave City and Maxine Butler of Batesville; six grandchildren, Shawn Paris (Sara), Brandon Moore (Madeline), Kegan Moore, Connor Esry, Brad Gifford and Jessica Gifford (Isaac Dodson); one great granddaughter, Mia Moore; and a host of other relatives and friends.
Funeral services will be Saturday, October 12, 2019 at 2:00 p.m. at the Qualls Funeral Home Chapel in Cave City with Bro. Tony Moser officiating. Burial will follow in the Mount View Cemetery located on Hwy. 230 east of Cave City.
Visitation will be from 12:00 noon until service time at the funeral home.
Pallbearers will be Eddie Walling, Wayne Gifford, Will Smith, Kegan Moore, Brad Gifford and Isaac Dodson.
Honorary pallbearers are Leonard Taylor, Shawn Paris, Brandon Moore, Connor Esry and Joel Waggoner.
