Lou Ella Croom of Cave City passed away Monday, September 2, 2019 at the age of 84. She was born November 23, 1934 at Mobley, Arkansas, east of Cave City, near the Cedar Grove community to George Curtis and Vacie Landers James. She was retired from White Rodgers in Batesville and was a homemaker and co-owner of Hill Top Store near Cave City. She was a member of First Missionary Baptist Church at Cave City.
She was preceded in death by her parents and husband, Preston Croom.
Survivors include a sister, Joyce Perkey of Cave City; three children, Pam Laster of Cabot, Greg Croom (Denise) and Kerrie Brightwell (Mark) of Cave City; four grandchildren, Annie Lindsey (Luke), Veronica Arie (Billy Joe), Wade Brightwell (Rebecca) and Micah Brightwell (Jackie); one step-granddaughter, Crystal Cordell (Jason); four great grandchildren, Preston and Avalyn Lindsey and Carissa and Chloe Cordell.
Funeral services will be Wednesday, September 4, 2019 at 2:00 p.m. at the First Missionary Baptist Church in Cave City with Bro. Ron Canard and Bro. John Sanders officiating. Burial will follow in the Mount View Cemetery located east of Cave City.
Visitation will be from 1:00 p.m. until service time at the church.
Pallbearers will be Luke Lindsey, Billy Joe Arie, Alan Landers, Danny Watson, David Sneed and Dennis Smith.
