Mary Bailey

Mary Kathy Bailey, 71, of Evening Shade, Arkansas passed away Friday, December 1, 2023, at the Greenbrier Nursing and Rehabilitation Center. She was born June 12, 1952 in Evening Shade, Arkansas to John Burrus and Mary Stuntz. She was of the Christian Faith. Mary enjoyed reading, crafts, tea parties and spending time with her grandchildren.

She is preceded in death by her parents; one brother, Danny Burrus; and one sister, Lynette Chambers.

She is survived by Gary Bailey of the home; her children, Brian Bailey (Denise) of Batesville, Dean Bailey (Robyn) of Evening Shade, Lavonda Huckabee (Mike) of Poughkeepsie, Randy Avey (Marci) of Pineville, Melissa Bagwell (Chuck) of Poughkeepsie, and Sean Bailey (Leilani) of Greenbrier; her grandchildren, Casey Bailey of Batesville, Colton Bailey (Erica) of Jonesboro, Cameron Bailey of Jonesboro, Kyle Bailey of Batesville, Derrick Bailey of Evening Shade, Brooklyn Gillmore (Landon) of Cave City, Dexter Huckabee (Amanda) of Poughkeepsie, Erica Cantrell (Jacob) of Flippin, Sadie Avey of Pineville, Ryder Avey of Pineville, Will Hood (Kristin) of Calico Rock, Caleb Bagwell and Tate Bagwell both of Poughkeepsie, Issac Bagwell (Diana) of Fort Bragg, North Carolina, Sahrin Bagwell of Poughkeepsie, Alana Mays of Sherwood, Kaylan, Ashlyn and Dalton Bailey all of Greenbrier; her great grandchildren, Skyler, Beckum and Uriah Bailey, Jasper and Piper Gillmore, Gavin and Augustus Huckabee, Dahalia and Jett Cantrell and Jackson Dobbs; her siblings, Bonnie Reed of Cave City, Caroline Treat of Cave City, Janie Lee of Batesville, Chris Burrus of Evening Shade and Marsha Nesbitt of Newark; and other relatives and friends.

Funeral services will be Thursday, December 7, 2023 at 2:00 p.m. at the Qualls Funeral Home Chapel with Jim Chambers officiating. Burial will follow in the Campground Cemetery in Evening Shade.

Visitation will be Thursday, December 7, 2023 from 12:00 p.m. until service time at the funeral home.

Arrangements by Qualls Funeral Home of Cave City.

Pallbearers will be Dexter Huckabee, Kyle Bailey, Issac Bagwell, Tate Bagwell, Ryder Avey and Casey Bailey.

Honorary pallbearers are Derrick Bailey, Colton Bailey, Cameron Bailey and Will Hood.
