Mary (James) Halcom Osborn

April 29, 1939 — July 5, 2021

 

Mary (James) Halcom Osborn, age 82 of Judsonia, passed away July 5, 2021. She was born April 29, 1939, in Paroquet, AR, to Logan and Medrith James. She was a cook for Cord-Charlotte Schools before working as a CNA in nursing homes in Independence and White Counties. Mary enjoyed going to the casino and visiting with friends at auctions. She was of the Baptist faith.

Mary was preceded in death by her parents and four brothers Leonard, Frank, Ovalee, and Benny.

 She is survived by sister, Evelyn Stafford of Olive Branch, MS; son Elmer James of Evening Shade, and daughter, Teresa Featherston of Judsonia. She also leaves behind four granddaughters- Cassi (John), Morgan (Darrell), Summer (Chase), and Brandy (Everette)- and eight great-grandchildren: Emma, Owen, Bryleigh, Trace, Zander, Dani-Jo, John-Luke, and Tyson.

A funeral service will be held Friday, July 9, 2021at 10:00 a.m. at the Qualls Batesville Funeral Service Chapel. Burial will follow in the Edwards Cemetery at Newark.  Visit quallsfh.com

Visitation will be Thursday, July 8, 2021 from 6:00-8:00 p.m.
