Maxine Montgomery Lassiter, 98 of Cave City died Wednesday, January 27, 2021. She was born December 2, 1922 in Cave City, Arkansas to Martin McDougal Montgomery and Virginia Mae Vest Montgomery.
She attended Pine Springs School and graduated from Cave City High School in 1940. She taught in one room school houses at Pine Springs, Etna, Hodge and Tompson.
She worked for International Shoe Factory in Batesville and the Ozark Foothills Craft Guild with Craft Shops in Hardy, Heber Springs and Mountain View.
She was a member of First Missionary Baptist Church in Cave City where she taught Sunday school and sang in the Choir.
She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband, J.J. Lassiter.
Survivors include several nieces and nephews and a host of other relatives and friends.
Graveside services will be held, Saturday, January 30, 2021 at 2:00 p.m. at the Palestine Cemetery west of Cave City with Bro. Ron Canard officiating. Arrangements are by Qualls Funeral Home of Cave City.
In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to First Missionary Baptist Church, 112A South Main Street, Cave City, AR, 72521
