Michael Don Redden, 66, of Cave City, died Thursday, Jan. 20, 2022, at his home.
Don is survived by his wife and best friend, Nancy (Rauls) Redden of the home, whom he married on Nov. 18, 1979; sons and daughters-in-law, Stephen and Jessica Redden of Paragould and Kyle and Shantelle Redden of Walnut Ridge; grandchildren, Beckett, Lexington, Carver and Webb; two nieces and one nephew; and many family members and friends.
Born on March 11, 1955, he was the son of JD Jake Redden of Cuba, Ky., and Betty and Jerry Brown of Hot Springs. He was a 1973 graduate of Blytheville High School and worked several years as a heavy equipment operator for Nucor Steel in Blytheville and Collins Pipe Line in Bald Knob.
After retiring from Collins Pipe Line, Don retired to a cattle farm with his wife in Cave City where he spent his days tending to cattle, horses, goats, ducks and chickens.
Don was a devoted husband, a loving father and an exceptional grandfather. He was a member of the Cave City First United Methodist Church. He loved his family, farming, duck hunting and collecting John Deere memorabilia and guns.
He was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Jeff Redden of Blytheville; father and mother-in-law, Doc and Agnes Rauls of Hornersville, Mo., and a brother-in-law, Tim Rauls of Hornersville, Mo.
A celebration of Don’s life will be held at the Qualls Funeral Home in Cave City on Tuesday, Jan. 25. The family will receive visitors at 1 p.m. followed by a memorial service at 2 p.m.
